The City of St. Louis no longer has a City residency requirement and may hire lawyers who live all over the region. The City Counselor's Office is hiring for the litigation unit. The Office of Litigation represents the City in legal proceedings before state and federal courts, as well as administrative bodies. Attorneys in the Litigation Unit prepare written discovery, motions, and briefs; take and defend depositions; and provide legal advice to City departments, appointing authorities, employees and officials.
